Life on Two Wheels Instruction Necessities Motorcycle Course
Service Description
Start your motorcycle journey with my Basic Rider Training. Designed for beginners, this course offers personalized, one-on-one instruction to build a strong foundation in motorcycle riding skills and safety. The training itself is approximately 15 hours total, with 95% of that on the motorcycle. You must arrive prepared for the training and have the following safety gear, as a minimum: -A DOT approved helmet, -Boots or shoes that cover the ankle, -Full leg pants, preferably denim, -Gloves, and -A jacket. It is also recommended to bring fluids and snacks for yourself. It is very important to stay hydrated and have some protein during the training, especially on the hot days! There will be breaks during the training to have fluids, snacks, or a lunch. Every course begins with motorcycle basics, including: - Proper Mounting and Dismounting of the motorcycle, - Proper start up procedure, and - Getting the motorcycle in gear and finding neutral. From there, we will move into the following: - Moving the motorcycle, - Slow speed manuevering, - Emergency braking and swerving, - Rules of the road for motorcycles, including lane domination, - On road practice through residential areas, school zones, and highway riding, and - Road test preparation. All of this is done one on one with full attention on the student and their riding. The course begins with a one hour(ish) introduction to the motorcycle beginning at 1800hrs (6 p.m.). The following day is all on the bike, bginning at 1000 and going until 1700hrs (5 p.m.). The last day is also all on the bike, also beginning at 1000 and going until around 1600hrs (Yes, you guessed it, 4 p.m!) Once you are ready to book, click the Book Now button and select the course session date you would like to confirm if it's avaliable. If the course session is available, click Next and ensure to completely fill out the booking form, including the course name and the session date. After that has been submitted, you will receive an email with the instructions on how to pay for your selection. Upon receiving payment, your booking will be confirmed and you will receive a confirmation email. 5% GST will be charged at checkout. You will be sent a waiver that must be completed and signed before commencement of the training. If you are aged 16 or 17, the waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian. I also offer the option to rent the bike you were taught on to conduct your Alberta Class 6 Road Test, for an additional fee.

To reschedule or cancel an upcoming training session, please contact us at least 24 hours prior to scheduled time so we can deconflict and either reschedule or cancel your training.
