Little Pup is in the Motorcycle Hospital.

These are the joys of a training motorcycle. Multiple different riders, lots of RPM variances as people figure out the clutch and throttle control, on top of Little Pup being carbureted. All these factors add to a much higher wear and tear rate than how you would your own bike. The carburetor needs a good cleaning, to be re-jetted, and then tuned before it will be good to go again. I have dropped off Little Pup to the Motorcycle Hospital today, and although it isn’t classed as emergent, I am hoping that it will only be down for a couple of weeks, as this is the busy season for repairs.

As you will all soon find out as you progress in your motorcycle journey, the care and maintenance any bike needs can be costly, but we absorb those costs with care because we know the therapeutic value of having two wheeled time. After all, a motorcycle is an investment. That investment needs to be taken care of!

Although Little Pup is down for now (no need to send flowers, send a donation to a local charity instead), Mini Me is still raring to go and is looking forward to the next ride with a new person!
In the meantime, ride smart, stay safe, and I will see you down the road.
